The organization, the guides, the drivers, and the hotels and accommodations were great. Although it was necessary to slightly modify our route in the north, we still enjoyed the amazing churches and monasteries. The Omo Valley and the fascinating villages, tribes, and communities in the south were equally incredible. We would have no hesitation in recommending Awaze Tours and say a big thanks for some wonderful memories.

Everything went smoothly on this trip. We were picked up from our hotel in Addis and taken to the airport for our domestic flight to Lalibela where we were met and taken to a lovely hotel. The first afternoon and next morning we explored the rock churches and on the last afternoon did a walk to a 13 century church where there were stunning views of Lalibela and the surrounding area. Our guide was knowledgeable and flexible with the arrangements. We also had a driver who was also excellent company. We felt the time spent in the area was adequate and would recommend Awaze for such a trip.

I always had the dream to be in in Ethiopia for my 50th birthday....I will never stop thanking Awaze for making the dream come reality...I had no idea how to plan my trip..Searching the internet I was attracted by the company's logo and that s how I sent an email....Response was really quick which was a great first impression...From that day,for a whole year,Habte always made sure to reply promptly to any of my emails...On the night of my arrival in Addis Ababa,since it was a late flight and there was some delay in receiving my luggage, I was worried that when finally exiting the aiport I might have been forgotten...But absolutely not...Fikru was waiting for me with a paper with my name on it..What a relief!...The vibe was great from the start and I sincerly had not one bad day..one bad moment during my whole staying (12 days) in Ethiopia,thanks to AWAZE...This is a truly professional organization. Drivers are always on time (before time)..Guides are so knowlegable....And like their Ethiopian fellow citizens one word could describe people working with the company:KINDNESS...One Thing I really appreciated is that the Itinerary proposed for visiting the Historic North was respected exactly as on paper till the end of the tour...Hotels (All super comfortable)...Food (Make sure to check out 4 Sisters in Gondar) everything was great, trust me....I will never forget Fikru,Kado,Bekele in Addis...Teme in Bahir Dar....Eyoal,Tringo and Alex in Gondar....Desale and Tadede in Lalibela..(I am sorry for forgetting a couple of names but Every single person was simply Amazing)....THANK YOU AGAIN AWAZE from the bottom of my heart.....

Absolutely wonderful. Lalibela is spectacular. The guide and driver were superb and the lodge beatifula and staff very helpful.

Jan 2025 Grand Tour to the Historic North of Ethiopia :12 Days; 11 Nights My name is David Kallel. Me and my wife visited Ethiopia from January 28th to February 10th, 2025. We booked through Awaze Tours based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We enjoyed the tour and other activities in the northern regions and southern regions of Ethiopia. We visited Addis Ababa, Axum, Adwa, Lalibela, Bahir Dar, Gondar, Awassa and Yirgalem. The tour involved domestic air transportation as well as road transportation. We enjoyed the beauty, nature and culture of the rural Ethiopia through our road trips. We also tried the local foods especially Injera. The guides and drivers were very knowledgeable and flexible.
